Read Songwriting with AI Grok on X Part 1.
I think it's wild that so many '80s sounds are mainstream pop sounds now, according to Grok. When I hear "arpeggiator," I think "push a button and it replicates what I had to play when I was taking piano (pieces like Moszkowski Etude no.2 in G minor, the last piece I was playing before I quit)." When I hear "saw," I think "Van Halen Jump," the reason I bought my first keyboard. Thanks to hip hop and dance music, 808 and 909 drum machines never went away. Korg M1 and Yamaha DX7 are staples in '80s music. Like, totally, I should change my alter ego name from Salicorn to Sally from the Valley.
